THE MOST POWERFUL PHRASE IN THE WORLD!

Dear Friends,

In my humble opinion, a sincere heartfelt โ€œTHANK YOUโ€ is the most powerful phrase in the world. If you are not already using them daily please try today or tomorrow followed by a big smile ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜!

You will be surprised what positive impact those two little words combined with your big smile will make to the people around you and yourself!

5 Steps to Solve My Issues & Clear My Mind

Dear Friends,

Transitioning from 2020, some may have believed that 2021 would bring about the change that each of us need to move forward with our lives despite the current global situation. However, I noticed that perhaps, we are putting too much pressure on the year changing to bring about the change when the change itself is within our own power and mindset. Problems of 2020 will remain problems of 2021 if we do not actively work to let go of the issues and worries that we cannot control while identifying things that we can change.

With this in mind, I would like to share with you my way how to solve my problems and clear my mind. I write the problem down and analyze it in 5 steps, all in handwriting and all in a non biased manner - as if the problems are not mine but I am looking at someone elseโ€™s problems/worries.

1. I write the problem down

2. What is the real cause/causes of the problem

3. What can I do about it? Write all the possible options

4. Choose the option that resonated with me the most and execute without delay and without second or third thought. Go ahead!

5. In case I cannot do anything to solve this problem I immediately accept it and will let it go; smile and do not bottle my anger or frustration!

Afterwards, I rip and throw the paper away.

For 45 years, I have been using this physical act of writing down my stressors and getting rid of the negativity that stagnate me which has helped me a lot to reduce my stress and keep me smiling whatever happens. I am able to see the action steps to take to get me out of my issues while gaining perspective to let go of the things that I cannot change.

I always have a small piece of paper and a pencil with me in case a sudden problem comes up. I am actually not aware of any wrong decisions taken by using this process. This process might help you too; itโ€™s worth a try๐Ÿ˜โ˜€๏ธ

2020, a year to remember and not forget

Dear Friends,

It is already December and the year 2020 is rapidly ending. A lot of people will remember this year as a terrible year and would like to erase it from their memory. This reaction is very understandable since we all have suffered, some more, some less.

Looking back when I was still working in the financial industry, there were a lot of unexpected events such as Black Monday, Asia Financial Crisis, 9/11 and many more which resulted in suffering and heartache in many of us as well. I was also negatively impacted each time and also wanted to forget those years as quickly as possible until I realized that each of those times during such a crisis was actually where I learned a lot and grew stronger as a professional and as a person.

Writing this message, I realized that also this year brought a lot of good things and I developed as an individual and as a citizen of the world. The ultimate treasure we have is our health, family and good friends. Going forward I will appreciate these treasures even more.

I encourage you also, to not just simply forget all 2020 but take a some moments and find what you have learned, the positive things which happened to you and the treasures you have discovered and appreciate them.

I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. May the year 2021 bring you all a lot of success, happiness and good health

What can we learn from trees ๐ŸŒณ

I just returned from a trip from Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, North Yorkshire. As I cycled around the countryside, I passed by this tree several times. This and many other trees really impressed and fascinated me a lot. How could they keep themselves so beautiful, grand, strong and inspiring despite their age, the very harsh winds and often cold and rainy weather? Also during winter time, the burden of the heavy snow must have been weighing on the branches, providing another stress on these trees.

The only explanation I could find is that those trees must have a solid foundation of very strong and healthy roots and they are not resisting the strong winds, rain, storms and heavy snow but bending its branches as necessary. It might be, we too, in our lives, if we can not change or solve some unwanted issues and situations, we should try to accept them and bend accordingly instead of forcing to resist while also making sure that we have a very strong and healthy body and mind.

Majestic Mountains and What We Can Learn From Them!

I was in Switzerland ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ recently, and admired a lot of beautiful and majestic mountains. Those mountains have all been there for thousands of years and have gone through a plethora of storms, rain, snow and cold weather. Despite of this heavy strain, they still look very stunning and monumental even when covered by clouds and under terrible weather condition.

If we go through a storm, windy, rainy and snowy โ€periodโ€ in our lives, we are all stressed out, depressed and often poorly and it will take time until we look majestic again even though the sun has started to shine again. It might be we worth for us to just try to worry less and go through the storm and bad weather in our life with a positive and majestic attitude  until the sun is shining againโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

Our actions inspire others!

Recently I was cycling along the Thames River early in the morning on a natural path from Kew Bridge to Richmond.

The night before some heavy winds have fallen some trees. I passed one fallen tree
which blocked around 50% of the path. Around 200 meters further down I passed another fallen tree which blocked around 75 % of the path. I decided to leave the trees as they were but would try to clear them off the path if they were still there on my return.

After around 20 minutes the first tree still blocked 50 % of the path. I got off my bicycle
and cleared the tree off the road. At the same time, a middle aged lady was running past me. I noticed that she looked at me. After a few minutes when I passed the other tree which was still blocking 75 % of the path, the running lady who just passed me was trying to clear the tree off the path. I got off my bicycle and offered my help. Together
we cleared the tree off the path. After we finished clearing the tree, we both felt great, having achieved something. We briefly thanked each other
with a big smile on our faces and continued on our ways.

It was a small action which inspired another person to also take action. But also please be aware that no action or unsuitable action may also inspire
No action or an unsuitable action!
